L. Julius Bursio, 85 BC. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 4.05 g, 7 h), Rome. Laureate, winged, and draped bust of Apollo Vejovis to right, with trident over his left shoulder; to left, uncertain symbol (acrostolium?). Rev. L IVLI BVRSI Victory driving galloping quadriga to right, holding wreath in her right hand and reins in her left. Babelon (Julia) 5. Crawford 352/1a. De Ruyter p. 85, 142. RBW 1347 var. (differing symbol on obverse). Sydenham 728. Nicely toned. Minor marks on the reverse, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
